GRU!

This is coolbert:

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you" - - Matthew 7:7

This blog entry is germane based upon my previous blog entries here and here:

From the book: "Inside the Aquarium" by Viktor Suvorov:

"How can a commander give you the job of obtaining a sample of a new weapon if nothing is known about it, nothing at all - - when the world does not even suspect that such a weapon exists? Yet the GRU set out on its hunt for the atomic bomb in the United States at a time when no one else in the world suspected that it was possible to create such a weapon, and when even the President of the USA did not yet appreciate its real value."

GRU, Soviet/Russian military intelligence, also referred to sometimes as Razvedupr or the Fourth Department, using what seems to have been a host of agents, able to penetrate the Manhattan Project, gain the most very secret data, information, and intelligence regarding the development of atomic weaponry. That Manhattan Project at the time the most closely guarded secret in the world, or so would have thought those security officers entrusted with the secrecy of the program

The ability of the Soviet to develop their own bomb and do so in record pace and with STARTLING SPEED, FAR BEYOND EXPECTATIONS OF AMERICAN AUTHORITIES - - THANKS TO THE EFFORTS OF THE GRU, THEIR SPIES AND TREASONOUS AGENTS!

That most successful espionage effort entirely stimulated by the original mere observation that: "an unexpectedly large amount of silver was allocated 'for scientific research'".

The rest was inspired inference on the part of the GRU and an agent network greatly aiding and abetting whose employment in military research and development projects was not precluded by their [agents] being members of the communist party USA, secret or otherwise, and other various persons best described as "leftist-leaning"!

Surely the GRU asked and it was given. Surely the GRU sought and they did find. Surely the GRU knocked and the door was opened. In a BIG WAY! Even more so, when they began the search, they didn't even know what it was they were looking for! Amazing!

It would be interesting to see a time line derived from the GRU secret archives that shows exactly what the GRU knew about the Manhattan Project and when they knew it. That perhaps is so highly classified to this day we will never see such a thing!
