Mogadishu.

This is coolbert:

As it was in the days of the Ottoman Empire now too it is becoming the same? The Turk moves south!

Thanks to Russian Times and the article and image © Feisal Omar / Reuter.

"Turkey opens its largest overseas military base in Africa"

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MILITARY FACILITY STRICTLY TO TRAIN THE SOMALI NATIONAL ARMED FORCES.

"Turkish military officers parade during the opening ceremony of a Turkish military base in Mogadishu"

"Turkey has launched a major military base in Somalia. The $50 million facility is designed to provide support and training to troops of the war-torn country which is struggling to rebuild its national security forces."

Lots of nations having more or less permanent or semi-permanent bases vicinity the Horn of Africa and the Strait of Bab el-Mandeb. American, French, Chinese. NOW Turkey.

The Turk also fast-tracked to establish a military base and presence in Qatar!

Slow but sure and continuous effort to create a new version of the Ottoman Empire? Erdogan has big time aspirations, desiring to become a player of some importance on the world stage? We shall see.
